A place to gather.
An easier way to help.
A parent–teacher committee runs on the time people can spare. Its website needs to make that time go further.
I brought events, classes, a shared calendar, and volunteer needs into one place, connected to the tools the organizers already use.
A little less organizing. A little more community.
THE NEED
Finding the event should be the easy part.
Families needed a clear way to find out what was happening, sign up, and help. Organizers needed to keep it current without rebuilding every event by hand.
I designed and built the replacement site and its integrations. Givebutter supplies public event campaigns, Airtable holds the editorial details, and the existing signup service connects families with ways to help.
02 · THE MAKING
From finding an event to showing up.
Discover
Search events and classes, browse past workshops, or see the month in the community calendar.
Register
Givebutter connects each event to its own registration or donation checkout.
Help
Families can find volunteer shifts and supplies needed for an event through the existing signup service.
Maintain
Public Givebutter events import automatically. Airtable provides the editorial details, images, categories, and workshop relationships.
WHAT CHANGED
A little more room for community.
- A live website connects events, classes, registration, and volunteering.
- A shared calendar combines community events, school dates, and meetings, with filters and a subscription feed.
- Related workshop pages connect across editions, helping people find the next class.
